Building American Made Products from Real Experience—Not Theory
American Made Products wasn’t created in a boardroom or by a marketing firm.
It was built out of personal frustration, deep research, and years of firsthand experience navigating a marketplace flooded with imported goods and misleading claims.
A Personal Journey Into American Made
More than five years ago, my husband and I were preparing to move into a new home. During that process, he made a simple request:
“Let’s fill our home with American Made products.”
At the time, that sounded straightforward. It wasn’t.
What followed was a deep dive into product labels, brand claims, supply chains, and manufacturing disclosures—many of which were confusing, misleading, or intentionally vague.
That single request sent me down a rabbit hole I didn’t expect—and ultimately led to the creation of American Made Products.

Discovering the Problem Firsthand
As I began researching furniture, home goods, tools, and everyday essentials, I quickly realized:
- Truly American Made products were hard to find
- Many brands used ambiguous or misleading labeling
- “Made in USA” often meant assembled, designed, or packaged domestically—while manufacturing happened overseas
- The market was saturated with cheap foreign imports prioritized over quality and transparency
Finding legitimate American Made products required:
- Hours of research
- Digging through corporate disclosures
- Contacting brands directly
- Verifying manufacturing claims one by one
It wasn’t consumer-friendly—and it wasn’t scalable for most people.
Choosing American Made—And Seeing the Difference
Despite the difficulty, we committed to purchasing American Made whenever possible.
Over time, the differences became clear:
- Higher product quality
- Better durability and longevity
- Transparent sourcing and standards
- Confidence in where our money was going
These weren’t abstract benefits—they were real, lived experiences.
That’s when I realized something important:
If this process was difficult for me—someone actively researching and committed to buying American Made—it would be nearly impossible for the average consumer.

Turning Research Into a Resource
What started as personal research gradually became something more.
I was already doing the work—verifying brands, identifying trustworthy manufacturers, and separating fact from marketing spin.
Sharing that knowledge felt like the natural next step.
American Made Products was created to:
- Support American workers, manufacturers, and communities
- Centralize verified American Made brands
- Eliminate guesswork and misleading claims
- Help others make informed purchasing decisions
My Commitment
In addition to the app, I continue to:
- Research American manufacturing trends
- Analyze brand claims and industry practices
- Publish educational content and resources
- Advocate for transparency in consumer goods
This platform exists to empower—not pressure—people to make informed decisions at their own pace.
